Home: Webdev0 Cluster Information

This cluster of units is designed to give you the skills and best practise to get you started in web development. It is designed to give you the basic skills required to start developing web pages and applications. Those students who have an interest in pursuing a career in web development will need to learn more about complex web design, dynamic web pages and Single Page Applications. This study is continued in WebDev1 and WebDev2 which form part of the Cert IV.

This cluster of units cover the requirements for two units:

• ICTICT301 - Create user documentation. The unit information can be downloaded.
• ICTWEB302 - Build simple webpages using commercial products. The unit information can be downloaded.
• WEBDEV0 Student Assessment and Zipped Folder with files for the website

Ethical Standards

Web developers try to work to a professional standard to provide ethic business practises. The common standards are:

• Australian Computer Society's Code of Ethics
• Agile Manifesto
• Work Health and Safety
• Sustainable Industry

Sessions 6 and 7 contain optional activities where we can explore the future of the web and mobile application development. Some students may prefer to spend this time working on assignments.
